Teaching style
Various teaching styles are incorporated in each 3-part lesson. Each one includes whole group instruction, small group labs that are hands-on and engaging, and a creative project that gets students thinking about solutions to problems.
Additional biographical information
These lessons were planned by 6-8 grade students who are members as part of a service learning project within Lego Robotics. The two team coaches are both middle school science teachers with degrees in K-8 education. Many resources were used to create these lessons, and each were double-checked by their corresponding grade level teachers.
