This activity is a collection of 13 different geometric nets for students to cut out, fold and put together. Each one showcases a particular structure for a mineral's crystal structure but also a 3D geometric shape. This activity has place in any mineral lesson or any lesson involving 3D shapes, faces, edges, surface area, or composite shapes.

This file is a collection of 17 different nets representing different minerals. Each net takes up a full 8 1/2" x 11" page. Print off the nets, have the students cut out and then construct the nets into geometric shapes. Great addition for lessons looking at mineral properties in science class or composite geometric shapes in math class.
