Professional Experience: *60 years of teaching in public schools, researching and learning as parent of five, a primary school teacher, middle school, high school, junior college, senior college in teacher education and graduate school. *Served in U.S. Army as Troop Information and Education NCO. *Served as a demonstration teacher in laboratory schools and conducted courses in the foundations of education and teaching social studies using a discovery approach. *Supervised student teachers and observed teachers at work in many different settings.*Set in motion a number of experimental programs that were designed to help point the way to a better system of education. *Served as consultant to many school districts and educational projects throughout New England, the Carolinas, Ohio and elsewhere. *Served as consultant to The Center for Individualized Instruction,†Durham, North Carolina. *Authored numerous successful grants for schools, colleges and businesses.*Founded and directed the Plattsburgh Research Institute for Defining Education (PRIDE). *Submitted two comprehensive charter school proposals designed to demonstrate a community learning center for schools and colleges of a rural area, only to receive a hostile attack for suggesting things could be different. *Tested-out aspects of proposed changes in education within the design and implementation of an innovative primary health care center that I was instrumental in developing (one of nine models funded within the USA). *Served in community mental health associations and community service groups.*Served as CEO of Tru Vu International, Inc. for R&D in production and display of color microfiche. *Served business and industry in leadership training.
