I use this Prezi presentation and guided notes as a way to introduce our international food culture unit. Students gauge their pre-existing knowledge in the warm-up questions for a region and food culture they are somewhat familiar with. Answer key included. This is great, simple, straightforward worksheet where students can log a recipe's ingredients, ingredient costs, total meal cost, and cost per person. I love to have students start each cooking lab by considering the cost of the meal they are about to prepare. There is room for self-reflection at the bottom of the worksheet.
