This is an easy morning work activity for Kindergarten or 1st grade students. They can find the short 'e' words and color, or highlight, them and when they are finished, they can color the image. If they finish early you could have them write short 'e' words on the back of the page. Enjoy :)

I presented at the 2015 MELEd (Minnesota English Learner Education) Conference in Minnesota. I created simple and complex English language instruments that use no words, yet elicit conversation and query from English learners.
My own education history
I have a Masters Degree in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) with an emphasis on K-12 Public Schools. I also have a Bachelor's Degree in the Spanish Language, and am a honorably discharged, service connected U.S. Army Veteran.
