Experience

I have more than 20 years of experience in the Pre-K and Elementary classroom as a classroom teacher, special education teacher and math specialist. I have worked with students from across the elementary grade levels, but spent the last three years as a math resource teacher. I worked with each classroom once a week for an hour and developed these lessons. Initially, I used the lessons during online instruction, but once back in the classroom, they worked wonderfully with my diverse group of learners.

Teaching style

I believe in hands on learning so that students see concrete representations of what they need to understand. I know that math needs to be taught creatively to 21st century learners. Students need to be able to make connections between different concepts so that skills can be generalized, and math must be fun!
