About the store

Experience

I'm a High School Geometry teacher with 8 years under my belt. I've taught Algebra 1 & Geometry and have successfully implemented the practices from Building Thinking Classrooms & Standards-Based Grading for the last two years!

Teaching style

I used to be a lecture-style teacher until I read the book "Building Thinking Classrooms". After reading this book, my teaching style has completely changed from teacher-centered to student-centered. My students are the ones doing the thinking and learning in my class and I act more as a facilitator of their learning to guide them through each concept.

My own education history

I have a Bachelor's degree in Secondary Math Education from USF (GO BULLS) and a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from WGU.
