ESL Daily Lesson Chart

Great resource for ESL Teachers! As an ESL teacher, I used this daily to help me make sure I was on track. It's also great to give a copy to mainstream teachers, aides, and anyone else who might be teaching the students. I also kept a copy of each class's weekly schedule, so that I could give those to my Principal when they were requested.

A writing rubric for either elementary school-aged students or for beginning writers. By letting your early writers know what the expectations are, then you are letting them know what is needed of them - which gives students a better chance for success. The rubric focuses on CUPS - Capitals, Usage (grammar), Punctuation, and Spelling. The rubric allows for you to give 2 assessments to each student. This rubric is based on 6 key areas and is worth a possible 30 points.

About the store

Experience

I have been involved in education for over thirteen years. My roles have varied from special needs aid to Title I ESL teacher to 4th grade. Now I am an education entrepreneur, focusing on private tutoring, educational and standards-based games, blogging, and lessons that can be used in a mainstream classroom but aid ESL students.

Teaching style

I work hard to give students the educational tools and skills that they need in order to gain ownership and independence over their learning. Plus if I can find ways to incorporate theatre, David Bowie, Shakespeare, of the awesomeness of the Irish - then I try to do that too.

Awards & shining teacher moments

Game Company - Standards R Fun -- 1st U.S.History Bingo game won Creative Child Magazine's Game of the Year in 2010 and 2011.

My own education history

As an older sister to four younger siblings, I guess you could say my educational history started at a very young age. Through the years I have been a part of education in formal and informal settings. I myself love to learn and I suppose that it gets contagious to the people I help teach. At least I hope.
