This sheet allows teachers to progress monitor while allowing students to take responsibility for their own learning. This standard wants students to identify reasons and evidence from the text to support claims that are made using informational texts. This activity gives you step by step instructions how to model identifying author's point and reason using text evidence. It also lists specific learning goals needed to master the skill. Can be cut and glue to be used as an interactive notebook activity if so desired.
