Experience

Hello! I am Jackie Rubio and I've been in the education field for more than a decade. I've had the pleasure of working with students in a variety of roles, including K-5 science lab instructor, 2nd grade teacher, 4th grade teacher, and currently, I serve as an innovative technology teacher. Teaching style

My teaching philosophy centers on the belief that students learn best through experience. I strive to create an environment where students engage in hands-on activities, encouraging them to think critically and creatively. I believe our role as educators is to show students how to think, not what to think.

My own education history

I hold a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Texas at El Paso and a Master’s Degree in Instructional Design and Technology from Purdue University.

Additional biographical information

Inspired by the challenges of finding and creating hands-on activities that require minimal prep and accessible materials, I began developing teaching resources. My goal is to make it easier for teachers to provide meaningful, experiential learning opportunities without the hassle of extensive preparation or the need to purchase additional materials. By using items commonly found in classrooms and school science labs, I aim to make hands-on learning both practical and impactful. Thank you for joining me on this educational journey. Let's inspire and empower our students together!
