About the store
I moved to Chicago after college where I taught at a private special education school. There, I taught a 3rd-5th grade life skills classroom where most of my students were functioning at the Kindergarten level. After moving back to Peoria, IL I've had a wide range of Life Skills jobs including an all autism class, instructional students, and students within academic inclusion. After returning to grad school, I received a Masters Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and became a BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst). I worked in an outpatient clinic, and am now in the public school system.

If your kiddos are anything like mine, behaviors and frustrations increase when they're sick. But, they also have trouble expressing what hurts and where. I created this sick choice board to help my students communicate their pain so we can help them! Print on card stock, laminate, velcro individual pieces on, and place in a convenient location in your classroom and put a copy in the nurse's office! -------------------------------------------------------------- DynaVox Mayer-Johnson 2100 W

My own education history

I earned two bachelors degrees from Bradley University. I then obtained my Masters degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from Ball State University.
