Ryan Stein has been recognized on a national scale as an elite educator and as a pioneer for student engagement, innovation, and achievement. As an educational songwriter and forward thinker, he sees no barriers. His high energy and contagious enthusiasm for building intentional and authentic relationships has created lifelines for school communities throughout Virginia. Stein has been awarded the R.E.B. Award for Teaching Excellence (2010), Virginia’s Super Teacher Award (2011) and featured on the Rachael Ray Show as a top five national educator (2012). Recently, Stein received the Chris Corallo, Distinguished Leadership Award (2017), in his first year as principal at Greenwood Elementary School.
Stein conducts college and teaching workshops throughout Virginia sharing his enthusiasm and innovative ideas on how to engage, educate, and inspire students. He developed a music album called Ryan Stein Presents History MVP, containing 20 songs filled with the social studies content. Recently, he has written a book with Jen Berdux, a 4th grade teacher and dreamer, titled Lifeline 65: How Small Connections and Big Enthusiasm Can Change Education, which will be released in June 2019. As a student, teacher, administrator and father, Ryan Stein has a true passion for making a difference in the lives of children.
