About the store

Experience

I have taught 14 years in the elementary setting. I taught first grade for 11 years and third grade for 3 years. In 2010 I became a National Board Certified Teacher. I am currently a curriculum facilitator at an elementary school.

Teaching style

I believe in teaching through inquiry and problem based lessons. Students are not spoon fed informatin in my class. I believe in students working in cooperative groups to find answers. My classroom is filled with talking and excitement. In first grade I taught all the reading and writing for our school. When I moved to third grade I taught math and science. My math lessons were taught through mini-lessons and stations. My science lessons were taught using inquiry based learning.
