This "Daily Math Vitamin" is 28 weeks of a math spiral review. It was created to go along with the 2nd grade common core curriculum. It covers anything from addition strategies, story problems, picture graphs, telling time, to rounding. It has it all! It is a great way to review, and can serve as a minilesson if needed. This tool becomes part of the daily math routine and before long your students will refer to it as a "DMV".

This adorable diary goes along with a life cycle unit and is perfect if your class is observing the life cycle of a butterfly! My class was able to watch a butterfly go through all stages of the butterfly life cycle. They wrote in their journal every 2-3 days, or when a major change occured. We read all of the "Diary of..." books prior to this activity, and they loved mimicking those books and writing from the perspective of the butterfly!

This packet includes 25 weeks of word problems, for a total of 125 problems. The problems increase in difficulty and follow the state common core curriculum for Georgia, so skills are not in the word problems until they have been introduced in the curriculum. A graph is also included at the end, so students can chart the percentage of problems they get correct each week. This is perfect for goal setting, motivation, and for RTI data for math reasoning!

This quiz follows the Georgia Common Core Curriculum for 2nd grade. It assesses the different strategies covered in the Addition and Subtraction unit. This is an on level quiz.

This is a great tool to use to study the main character when reading a novel. The students can use it just like an actual Facebook page. They can add friends, photos, and status updates about what the character is feeling or doing throughout the novel.
