About the store
After receiving my Masters in Education from the University of Michigan, I taught in New York City for over eight years. I was a special education teacher at the Stephen Gaynor School, a private LD school for grade K - 8. In 2015, I relocated to Chicago where I worked as an English teacher at the Frances Xavier Warde School and a learning specialist at GEMS World Academy Chicago. Though all of these schools were great opportunities, I found my true calling as a private learning specialist in Chicago. I get to create my own hours, plan my curriculum and modify every lesson specifically to each student's needs.

Teaching style

As one of my mentor's told me, my teaching style is best categorized as structured flexibility. I adapt my teaching style to each student I work with independently. I create a structured learning environment, but I allow the opportunity to modify and change my approach throughout the lesson.
