Included are 10 weekly reading logs with writing prompts. The writing prompts are aligned with the CCSS and push students to think critically about their independent reading. There is a color and black & white version included in the pdf file. These reading logs are only appropriate for literary texts. This reading log would be appropriate for students in 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade. The streamlined and simplistic nature of the document makes it suitable for younger and older student
This is a short activity that is ideally assigned for independent practice or homework. Students are prompted to draw a map of their bedroom and then use the points of a compass to describe the location of the different things in their room. This is ideal for 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade. It can be used in an ELA, Social Studies, or Geography classroom.
