This game helps students practice the coordinate plane, shapes, area, and perimeter. Students must guess ordered pairs to learn the vertices of a hidden shape. Every location will be answered with IN the shape, OUTside the shape, or ON the shape. They must use the game clues to make educated guesses. After solving the problem they can check if their final answers are reasonable. What is math? It may be tough to come up with an answer that totally explains what math actually is, beyond a subject at school. This short PowerPoint was created to help students truly understand what math is and how it surrounds them daily. It helps build a positive connotation rather than one of fear and defeat.

Similar to Battleship but students are looking for fly families. Students take turns guessing the locations and marking their grid accordingly. This is editable so you can change the game to use something else besides flies. This is a PowerPoint I used while virtual teaching but could also be printed out and played.

This is a place value chart ranging from thousands place to thousandths place. Students can use this blank chart to compare or round decimals and show their work.

This template can be used as you cover different lessons in the module or as a review at the end of the unit. There is a place for the module title, main topic, keywords, lesson steps, and an application example problem. First page has the layout I used, second page is blank for you to utilize the map as needed. This could also be used as a center for students to complete as a group.

This can be used as a handout or glued into a journal- either way a visual resource from students can see the order in a flow chart which uses both words and symbols to help memorize the steps. There are two per page to save paper when printing.

This is a group activity where each member solves a different part of the problem as the paper is circulated around. All you need to do is tell the students what problem to solve. One page is for adding mixed numbers and fractions, the other page is for subbing mixed numbers and fractions.

This activity lets student practice solving for volume while also practicing past skills (multiplying and dividing decimals/ multiplying and dividing fractions).
