Awards & shining teacher moments

I have helped many students learn to read better. I've tutored some who could barely read, and they became better readers and some have become avid readers.

My own education history

I graduated from Valley View High School in Germantown, Ohio in 1981. I was a Valedictorian of my graduating class. I graduated from Miami University of Ohio in 1985, Magna Cum Laude.

Additional biographical information

I follow the interests of my children and use unit studies. I use a lot of hands-on and project-based lessons. I also read aloud to my children as much as possible.
