This topic writing race can be used not only to increase writing motivation, but also to help students get a breadth of options for potential writing topics!!! At the end of the challenge, there is a slide asking them to actually write a paragraph (could also be an essay) about just one of the prompts. This would be the graded piece of this assignment and where they could demonstrate whatever writing skills you are working on!

Hello everyone! I am an immersion teacher, so I teach half my day in Spanish and half my day in English. I used this form to get to know my students and learn about their language preferences as well as their general attitudes about school. This really helped me prepare for my class and get to know them more!
