Bell Ringer When am I ever going to use this stuff?
Recently, we went to dinner and used a 10% off coupon. The bill and coupon are attached. The discount is shown at the bottom. Was the discount applied correctly? If not, then what should the discount have been instead? Is there an easy way to find a 10% off discount?
Dolbear theorized that the temperature can be computed by counting the number of times a cricket chirps in 15 seconds, and then adding 40 for the temperature in degrees Fahrenheit. For example, if a cricket chirped 20 times in 15 seconds, Dolbear theorized that would mean that the outside temperature was 60 degrees Fahrenheit.
Find a linear equation that relates cricket chirps to degrees Fahrenheit. Use N for number of chirps and F for Fahrenheit.
