About the store
I've taught fifth through eighth grade language arts for the last thirteen years. Since being trained in reading and writing workshop by staff developers from TCRWP, I have become a firm believer in the workshop approach to literacy instruction, so rather than teaching "books," I try to teach strategies that students can apply across a variety of texts to deepen their understanding.

Includes space for 10 post-it notes. Students record their inner thinking during reading on post-it notes and classify them according to what kind of reading strategy they're using. Great for encouraging kids to use a variety of thinking strategies during their independent reading. Put it on 11"x17" paper and fold in half so students' post-it notes don't get lost.

Copy onto 11"x17" paper and make it double sided. This poster would make a great bulletin board display if you fold it over and make the name and picture page the front. Lift up to reveal the other two pages. I take pictures of my students on the first two days with the Pencil Sketch Pro app on my phone and print them off for the picture on the front.
