This is a high school biology class syllabus that can be edited to meet the needs of your classes. Summer is the time where we teachers get a chance to think and plan their year ahead. I thought of uploading this document as it is one of the first things we teachers discuss in class and secondly I wanted to extend my helping hand to all those first year teachers who are going crazy thinking about how they want to run their classes. All the classroom rules mentioned in the syllabus are tried, tes

Stoichiometry is one of the toughest fields to teach in Chemistry! I have put together a worksheet, completely editable, that provides a wholesome summary of the different kinds of problems and rules to approach them. This worksheet can be used as a group work assignment after the lesson is taught or as a tool to teach the lesson. Its an interactive worksheet that can cater the needs of advanced and not so advanced chemistry students. This handout can also be used as a study guide for a final re

This lab is a great lab to be done at the start of the year as an introduction to Scientific Method and Graphing in Physics. Students rotate in groups around stations to complete the lab. The lab is extremely hands on and introduces the students to some very important concepts (Hooke's law, time period of pendulum etc.) that they will learn later on in the course.

A fun project to do in groups. The project has been designed to be student-directed. Students pick their designs and materials. They execute the entire build according to their own team guidelines. All you do is explain the rubric and dictate the timeline. In addition, they learn the concepts of buoyancy and the Archimedes Principle as they figure out how to build a successful boat. A complete win-win!

This 100% editable worksheet is a good one to handout to your students on the first or second day of school. It helps teachers to know about their students and what thoughts they have about the subject matter. I usually give this handout after I have discussed my syllabus with my students. This allows them to also answer questions that are class specific as well.
