Experience I have teaching began in University. I taught elementary in person and through zoom. I also taught middle school through zoom. This was because it was during covid. I also have experience working with elementary kids at school sites for the YMCA. My other experience was during student teaching which was super great and so much fun. I learned a lot more about classroom management and finding my voice. UPDATE: Had my first year being a middle school teacher at LAUSD 2024 - 2025; definitely an experience with ups and downs and I wouldn't trade it for anything! Learned a lot from my peers as well as my students, in which I will take into my 2nd year of teaching to help me become more efficient.

This is my CalTPA Cycle 2 Template D Informal Assessment Dribbling Checklist and Rubric. Overall, I passed Cycle 2 on the first try with a rubric score of 29. I hope this is helpful for you! For your informal assessment, you do not need a rubric, but honestly you do. How I used this handout was by doing teacher observ

This is my cycle 1 template D-resources I turned in. This template includes the images I used in my lessons for my videos for 3rd graders. 3rd graders learning to bump a volleyball can be a little too advanced for them from what I was told, but for my 3rd graders, they did pretty good. So be advised! For bumping, where it says "knees bent at 90 degrees", I meant that the leg is being flexed at a 90 degree angle. If you say you are bending the knees at 90 degrees then you are essentially saying t

Teaching style

The type of teaching style I have is student oriented, not teacher oriented. I teach based on what the students can do and work from there, focus on needs, and interests.. I dont like focusing only on what I have to teach as a teacher and forcing them to do something "my way". There are many ways to do one thing, each kid has a different skil level, which is why differentiation is important as well. I want all my kids to succeed!

My own education history

I have studied at El Camino College and transferred to Cal State University of Long Beach. Which is where I graduated and got my teaching credential!
