About the store
I did my field based instruction in Corpus Christi with a very diverse group of 5th graders before doing my student teaching in Stonewall, Texas with 2nd grade and Kindergarten. I graduated in December 2008 and subbed in Fredericksburg ISD for the Spring semester while I job searched. I was hired in September 2009 at the Fredericksburg Primary School to teach Pre-K. Two years later, our full day Pre-K program consisting of 6 teachers was cut to a half day program. this left myself and another teacher to lead the way in a new, half day program. I taught 36 kids a day between two classes in half day pre-k for two years before moving to kindergarten.

These cards have two sets included: one AB pattern and one ABC pattern so you can choose which level is best for your kids. For best results, print in color on card-stock, cut edges off, laminate, and then cut the six cards apart. Each set has 5 extra pattern cards for you to use in your own way.

Use this activity in small groups or in independent math stations. The students draw teeth, as many as they want or you think they can handle. Have them color some of the teeth one color and the rest another color. Then have them write the math fact that goes along. If you have the kids color some teeth black, you can explain that those teeth are dead and will soon fall out and make it a subtraction equation instead of addition.
