This is a unit plan outline with four fully developed lessons. It is based on the NYS standards for grade 1 Social Studies and ELA. The lessons can be used alone or as part of this full unit.

This excel file is a color coded grade book to be used for Math, ELA, Social Studies and Science. There are also two additional grade pages for other grades. The cells are formated to change color if grades are below 80 (yellow), 66 (orange), and 56 (red). The average will be automatically calculated as you enter grades for each student. This is an excel document that can be used for RTI tracking. You are able to customize the document to meet your individual needs based on particular screening tools used by your school and district. You could also customize this sheet to track classroom assessments to provide documentation of growth for individual students in tiers 2 or 3 of RTI. This sheet could be useful documentation for APPR to track and document growth of students over time.

This is a class book for early childhood. This is an opportunity for children in a class to make their own book. You can discuss a cover, title, and author. Each child has his or her own page with their own handprint. You can discuss sizes, and colors when the children make their handprints.

This is a social stories tool kit that can be utilized in an early childhood classroom such as pre-k, kindergarten, first grade, or second grade. This may also be useful for some other elementary aged students. This kit describes ways that social stories can be ustilized for students with or without disabilities. Tradtionally social stories were used for students with autism, however, there are benefits of social stories for other children as well.

This is an excel book of 5 place value practice sheets. Each sheet contains 5 practice problems and 1 bonus. The sheets include placing 3-7 digit numbers on the place value chart, using the place value chart to multiply and divide by 10 and using the place value chart to assist in placing commas in the appropriate place. The bonus questions include writing a number in unit form, word form and expanded form.

These job chart images and labels can be glued onto the small envelopes from the dollar store and hung up on a wall or cork board to create a quick and easy job chart.
