This is a 15 lesson Unit using 3 Eric Carle books as a starting point for elementary ESL students to both practice English (reading/writing/listening/grammar) and learn science vocabulary. There are 5 lessons for each book. They could be used as separate units or as one continuous unit.

This is an art, drama and literature activity using Martin Waddell's book "Hi Harry" as a starting point. I created stick puppets for students to make and a simple script from the book. This activity takes reader's theatre to a new place!

Primary students can create their own color wheel using the snowflakes included with this lesson plan. Students will color, cut, glue and arrange snowflakes in the correct order to make a color wheel. Great for the week before winter break or a snowy day!

Students will love this weaving activity that uses yarn, blunt needles and cardboard. A type of functional art, bracelts are fun for students to wear. This lesson can be part of a Native American unit or any other culture that has a tradition of weaving.

Students will practice using over-lapping to create depth using "The Salamander Room" by Anne Mazer as a motivation. Salamander outline is included to use for creating tracers.
