This has two activities in it. One is a whole group activity where after introducing literal vs. nonliteral students are given either a picture card with scenario on it or the word card literal or nonliteral. They then have to go around the room and try and find a match to their card. The last few pages is the assessment piece I use at the end of the unit. Students read the picture box and then determine if it is literal or non literal.
This is a very long book to help students with disabilities or younger students learn about their body parts. There are several chapters. Each chapter has a vocabulary word bank, a text, comprehension questions (cut and paste) and a quiz. The text is modified with pictures to help individuals with disabilities to be able to access the content and read more independently.
