Have students sort the pictures of the books in to fictional and informational text.

Students search for words in the collage of pictures and when they find one they read it and write it. You can make this more fun by using magnify glasses. When students are done they can color! The words included are: before, even, know, think, here, say, where, new, try, and study

A fun Turkey game for students to practice their addition fluency! This game is just like dots and boxes. You need two people to play. Each person will make ONE line at a time connecting two dots. If they happen to make a square while making their line, they must answer the addition equation, capture the turkey (color it in), and then they get to go again. The person with the most turkeys captured at the end wins!

Use this activity for students to create goals for themselves. Wether you call them sight words, red words, heart words, or anything else this is a great activity to do with students. Students will pick a tricky word to write in each target and then will spend the year trying to master spelling and reading that word. Once they master it they can color that target in!

Print this out for students to use as a guide/reminder of what the coin is called and how much it is worth!

Use this in your classroom to get to know students! They get to pick what to tell you. There is space for them to tell you three of their favorite things and two fun facts. Then they can draw a picture of their family and write what they love to do!

Hang this poster in your classroom and use the sayings as a fun way to say goodbye to students!

Have students count up each character and then make a tally chart. After making a tally chart students will make a picture graph to easily read the data while answering the questions.

Use this activity with students to have them write down their retell of a story!

Students roll the dice and move their cube (or any marker) down the number line that many spaces. Then they write the equation! For example if I am on 10 and roll a 2, I jump two spaces and write 10-2=8. Then their partner goes and does the same steps. First to 0 wins. There is a game board that goes 0-10 and one that is 0-20.

Have students make a book with every planet, then at the end the students get to write about what planet they would wish to visit! There are three different versions of every planet, for three different levels!

This is a fall/thanksgiving version of the game "ZAP" Students will have all the cards flipped over, put them in the middle, and pull one card at a time. To keep the card they must read the red word correctly. If they get the card that says "GOBBLE" they have to return all of their cards to the middle! They take turns going back and forth of who is drawing the card. It is the OG Red Words the-has.

Play a fun game of bingo while practicing Red Words (Sight Words)! We did a game of bingo where you have to get every square covered! That way they were practicing all the red words instead of stopping once they get 4/5 in a row.

Have students roll a dice to work on doubles! There are two worksheets. One has students just roll the dice and double that number. One has students roll the dice, double the number, and add one! Then students pick any shape in the picture to color that color. At the end they have a fun and colorful geometric animal! This is a fun and easy quiet activity, early finisher activity, or center!
