In my classroom, we write daily. Most of this is journaling, but I do try to have at least 2 published works per month- it’s a lot, I know! At the beginning of the year, students struggle, but it is so fun to watch them become confident writers and crank out some great pieces throughout the year! This resource gives you 5 writin

Teaching style

I believe learning should be meaningful, engaging, and connected to the real world. Whenever possible, I incorporate hands-on experiences and authentic learning opportunities that help students see how classroom skills apply beyond school. My goal is to create lessons that encourage critical thinking, creativity, and active participation while building confidence and independence.

Awards & shining teacher moments

Some of my proudest accomplishments aren't trophies—they're the moments when students discover a love of learning, gain confidence in their abilities, or achieve goals they never thought possible. ⭐ Over 20 years of helping students grow as readers, writers, and thinkers ⭐ More than 10 years of creating engaging virtual learning experiences ⭐ Designing resources that are used by teachers and students beyond my own classroom ⭐ Watching reluctant learners become active participants through hands-on and interactive activities ⭐ Helping students make meaningful connections between classroom learning and the real world

My own education history

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Education and Psychology and a Master of Education with a specialty in Online Learning, giving me a strong foundation in both learning theory and student development. My professional certifications include: ✨ K–8 Elementary Education ✨ ESOL ✨ Gifted Education ✨ Online Learning and Virtual Instruction With a background that combines education and psychology, I strive to create resources that are not only academically rigorous but also engaging, accessible, and responsive to how students learn best. My experience across traditional and virtual classrooms helps me design practical, teacher-friendly materials that support a wide range of learners.

Additional biographical information

Teaching has been my passion for the over 20 years. Throughout my career, I've taught students from kindergarten through seventh grade in public, private, and virtual school settings. Today, I specialize in middle school ELA, where I have the privilege of helping students develop confidence as readers, writers, and critical thinkers. One of the greatest joys of teaching is watching students who have struggled in the past begin to see themselves as successful learners. I firmly believe that all students can learn when they are given the right support, encouragement, and opportunities to engage with meaningful content. My classroom has always been built around one simple goal: making learning something students look forward to. My students often tell me that my class is their favorite because learning feels fun, interactive, and relevant. Whether we're working through a project, participating in an escape room, or tackling a challenging concept, I strive to create experiences that spark curiosity and excitement. This same philosophy drives every resource I create. I especially love designing visual escape rooms and interactive activities that engage students so deeply they don't even realize how much they're learning. Every product in my store has been classroom-tested with real students and refined based on their feedback and successes. My goal is to provide resources that not only captivate students but also save teachers valuable time. As a virtual educator, I've learned that online learning can be incredibly powerful when students are given the right tools and support. Many of my students come to virtual school after struggling in traditional settings, and watching them rediscover a love of learning is one of the most rewarding parts of my job. This experience has shaped the way I design resources, ensuring they are intuitive, engaging, and accessible for all learners. When I'm not teaching or creating resources, you'll likely find me caring for my small rescue farm, baking something sweet, painting, spending time with my amazing son, or helping foster dogs find their forever homes. Thank you for visiting my store. I hope the resources you find here make your teaching a little easier and your students' learning a lot more exciting!
