Teaching style

I always think that learning should be FUN! There are a lot of boring foundational skills we have to practice and learn, but that doesn't mean we can't make it fun and engaging for kids. Young learners learn with colors, games, and movement. I make and provide resources I would use in my own classroom to engage the students and help them practice basic skills in a much less boring and more independent way.

Additional biographical information

Teaching and education has been in my family for generations. All of my grandparents were in the education system as well as my own mother. I grew up helping teachers prepare their classrooms for the school year, assisting with seasonal preschool activity days, and finally began my own teaching journey at a Boy Scout Camp as a merit badge instructor. I was the teacher's aide in a preschool classroom for two years as I finished my education degree and gained experience in fourth grade and a first grade classroom. My love for early childhood education and kindergarten will always have a special place in my heart as it is where I have spent the most time and where the excitement of learning really begins for these young learners.
