Created by
SchameLearning
In this activity students will make money and spend it! Students will research colleges, majors, careers and loans. They will use this information to simulate what one month will be like in the real world as an adult. Students are required to write a conclusion for this activity based on their findings through the research. This is a great activity for the end of the year.

About the store

Experience

I have been teaching in public schools since 2005. The students that I teach range from special education to gifted and talented. I have also worked for a Community College teaching developmental math to adults. While the majority of my time has been spent teaching Pre-Algebra and Algebra in middle school, I have also worked with students in general seventh and eighth grade math.

Teaching style

My style is primarily inquiry-based, with a focus on creating a student-centered environment. I utilize a variety of teaching styles throughout the school year, based on the content and needs of the students. Collaboration is a consistent strategy in my classes, as students work in groups to complete a number of tasks and projects.

My own education history

B.S. and M.Ed in Middle Childhood Education with concentrations in Math, Reading, and Social Studies from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio.
