Teaching style

I focus on empowering the student to understand how learning works. I teach them strategies to improve their learning. I design lessons that help students develop a growth mindset. My teaching style is influenced by people such as Tony Robbins and Jim Rohn, and by areas such as psychology, neuroscience, and educational research.

Awards & shining teacher moments

First round finalist of the Samsung Teach for Tomorrow contest in the state of Connecticut (reward: 2 samsung galaxy tablets). I frequently provide professional development about integrating technology in the classroom and the growth mindset. Most recently, I presented at the Hartford Convention Center. This was great opportunity because the entire district from the Connecticut Technical High School System attended.
