Here's an activity that the students will never get tired of. Have them create their own cootie catcher/fortune teller. The catch is they have to sing the SolFa notes to play and then do the actions they have chosen. My students can do this all day!

Lapbooks and Interactive Notebooks are the latest way to get the students engaged in the lesson. This SolFa Flipbook can easily be glued into your notebook or lapbook for easy reference. Students will have fun cutting, decorating and gluing this into their folders. Then have them write down the "Do-Re-Me" behind each flap and let the music begin!

This is a great interactive wheel for students to familiarize themselves with the different note values. It is also fun to make. All you need a cardstock paper and a split pin. I attached these straight onto the lapbooks / interactive notebooks.
