There are organism cards and mass extinction event cards to pass out to each group. Students will then discuss and answer the questions related to their specific organism and extinction event.

After reviewing lab safety rules/expectations and having students sign a safety contract, reinforce the rules by having students choose a different safety rule by creating a one-page safety poster to hang up and display in the classroom! Students will need to create a colorful and neat poster demonstrating one of the rules and a description that explains why the rule should be followed and what they would do if an accident did happen pertaining to this rule.
Students will make predictions of when events in geologic time happened. Then, they will use the events to answer some questions. Great intro activity!

Students can pick from a list of careers related to Earth Science and will research various aspects about their chosen career and fill out a research worksheet. Then, they will use their research to create a colorful and neat Earth poster to display in the classroom or hallway for other students to be able to read. There is an example provided and a detailed rubric. A follow up activity could be a gallery walk for students to learn about other careers.
I use this activity to teach students about consensus and building consensus in a Leadership course. It can be used for grades 6-12 and adult education to train about consensus building. It could also be used for team work activities.
In a google slide format, students work independently and as a class to answer review questions. Students move through each room in the Among Us game and complete "tasks" from the game. Each task includes a review question with 4 multiple choice answers. Each answer has a different crewmate color from the game next to it. Students independently keep track of the correct answers and of which crewmates were correct and which were incorrect. The students then vote out a crewmate color between ea
