About the store
I have been a teacher for nearly 40 years. I been working as a fifth grade science this past year. I have written several books, one of which is McWizKid Science, taught science workshops all over the country and taught beginning teachers at college how to integrate science into other academic areas. Science has been my passion in the educational arena because I have seen how it can ignite the enthusiasm for learning with even the most unmotivated students. I set up a small business in the Clearwater, FL community to teach science to kids in their homes and taught at Girls Inc. as well. Science rules when it comes to excitement in learning.

Teaching style
My teaching style is asking a lot of questions while I stimulate their curiosity and challenge their thinking in a way that they really love. A child's hearing improves with praise and kids don't care how much you know - until they know how much you care.

The parents of one of my elementary schools nominated me for the Presidential Award in Mathematics and Science.
My own education history
I graduated from Indiana University with a Master's Degree in Elementary Education. I presently hold a Florida Teaching Certificate for elementary education.
