About the store
I have over 15 years of experience teaching high school science, including Chemistry, Physics, AP Physics and AP Chemistry. Throughout my career, I have developed curriculum, led classroom instruction across multiple levels, and worked to build student interest in advanced science courses. I have also been involved in extracurricular academic programs, helping students extend their learning beyond the classroom. Much of my experience has focused on identifying where students struggle with complex concepts and designing tools and strategies to help them succeed.

About the store

Experience

I have over 15 years of experience teaching high school science, including Chemistry, Physics, AP Physics and AP Chemistry. Throughout my career, I have developed curriculum, led classroom instruction across multiple levels, and worked to build student interest in advanced science courses. I have also been involved in extracurricular academic programs, helping students extend their learning beyond the classroom. Much of my experience has focused on identifying where students struggle with complex concepts and designing tools and strategies to help them succeed.

Teaching style

My teaching style focuses on helping students truly understand concepts rather than simply memorizing information. I emphasize visual learning, interactive problem-solving, and opportunities for students to explore ideas on their own. I created Science Simulated to give students access to tools that allow them to actively engage with difficult concepts. These simulations are designed to provide immediate feedback, encourage exploration, and support both guided instruction and independent practice.

My own education history

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Physics with a minor in Mathematics, as well as a Master’s degree in Education. My background in both science content and teaching has allowed me to design resources that are both academically rigorous and accessible to students.

Additional biographical information

I created Science Simulated to solve a problem I kept running into as a teacher—high-quality science simulations were often locked behind subscriptions or difficult for students to access. I wanted to create resources that teachers could purchase once and use anytime, without barriers. My goal is to provide practical, effective tools that make teaching easier and help students build real understanding of science concepts. Outside the classroom, I enjoy designing and building new projects, which has led me to develop interactive digital tools that bring science concepts to life.
