Fill in chart and and organizer covering Meiosis I and Meiosis II steps, flow chart for oogenesis and spermatogenesis. Could be used as guided notes or for the students to fill in to test their knowledge. For drawing the chromosomes in the cells, it is suggested to use different colored pencils. Adding descriptions to the sides of the cell is also suggested. Used in a general and honors biology I classroom (spermatogenesis and oogenesis for honors classes only).
Worksheet to follow along with NOVA's Everest the Death Zone DVD. This is great to show for Earth Science classes. I typically use this video to show for the gas laws unit that I teach in my chemistry class. This would also be good to show the effects of an extremely high altitude on the human body.
Unit conversion handout covers metric unit conversions as well as English to metric conversions. Covers mass, length, and volume. Metric prefixes include micro-, milli-, centi-, deci-, deka-, hecto-, and kilo-. Perfect to use in a chemistry or physical science class when practicing unit conversions or dimensional analysis. Product is only one page even though the tumbnail preview shows it as two.
This can be used to check off lab equipment at each lab station for students at the beginning and end of each school year. It's a great way to get chemistry I students familiar with the lab equipment needed at each station. Document is editable. Meant to be used in a chemistry classroom, but can be used for other science classes as well.
I use this to give to my students after a test. This is their "ticket" to getting their test back. This gives me an idea of how they prepared for the test and also tells me if they did poorly because maybe I did not make a very well written test. I keep these in a file with my tests in case a parent or administrator wants to know why the student has done poorly on the assessment.
Made to be cut in half to save paper.
Hall Pass template to give to students. I give my students two every quarter, and if they do not use the pass, then they may get extra credit at the end. Good way to keep the frequent flyers in their seats and out of the halls. Just add your own name to the pass so students will know which class it is from.
Used in my science classroom, but it could used for other subject areas as well with a little editing. I write down everything that I have done for the day and then place it in my absent binder. Students know to go to that binder and find the day's work that they are missing. Really helps me out when I do not have time to catch a student up with their missing work.
Also, after a month has gone by, I empty out my absent binder and place these sheets in a yearly plans binder. This way I can use
Includes the cell theory, types of solutions, organelles, plant and animal cells, endocytosis and exocytosis and many other items pertaining to this unit.
