Teaching style

I believe students learn science best by doing science. My teaching philosophy centers on hands-on learning, collaborative problem-solving, and meaningful investigations that encourage students to ask questions, analyze evidence, and explain their thinking. The resources I create are designed to move beyond worksheets by engaging students in experiments, models, engineering challenges, data analysis, and real-world scientific phenomena. Many activities incorporate collaborative learning structures that encourage students to discuss ideas, defend claims with evidence, and learn from one another while developing critical thinking and communication skills. Whether students are conducting investigations, interpreting data, building models, or working through inquiry-based challenges, my goal is to create learning experiences that are engaging, accessible, and grounded in authentic scientific practices. Every activity is intentionally designed to build curiosity, deepen conceptual understanding, and help students develop the confidence to think like scientists.
