One of the most important parts of designing a science experiment is writing a clear and repeatable procedure. Use this Making a PB & J sandwich activity (Google Doc) to illustrate to your students how important it is to be specific when writing directions. Chromatography Mystery Lab: Who Took the Takis?
Allow your students the chance to crack the "Case of the Missing Takis" in this super-engaging introduction to chromatography lab. Choose a black marker to write the ransom note on a paper towel and challenge your students to test the black markers of the four suspects to try to match the note.
