Atholton High School – Howard County Public Schools Columbia, MD Honors Biology and General Biology Teacher (10th Grade) 2010-2011 - delivered engaging, organized lessons using multiple modalities of instruction and challenged students to develop inquiry-based thinking with hands-on laboratory experiences - effectively integrated a variety of technology into delivery of lessons (e.g. document camera, laptop computer modules, computer-based simulations, Smartboard, and web-quests) Biology Review Teacher (10-12th Grade) - engaged a classroom of students (100% with I.E.P.s) with differentiated lessons that met their specific needs as learners, in spite of a variety of student behavioral challenges - demonstrated proficiency in planning as I developed lessons rooted in collaborative learning methods that were sensitive to varied backgrounds and levels of understanding High School Assessment (HSA) Enrichment Program - Teacher developed a curriculum for weekly sessions that appropriately addressed the gaps in understanding 5th and 6th Grade Science Teacher Environmental Science, Earth and Space Science
