Experience

I am a high school science teacher with experience teaching grades 9–12. My primary subjects are Earth and Space Science and AP Environmental Science. Throughout my teaching career, I have developed a wide range of classroom resources, including study guides, review materials, hands-on activities, and assessment tools designed to support student success. Teaching style

I believe students learn science best when they actively engage in the scientific process. My classroom emphasizes inquiry-based learning, project-based learning, hands-on investigations, scientific modeling, and collaborative learning experiences. Rather than simply memorizing facts, students are encouraged to ask questions, analyze evidence, develop explanations, and apply their knowledge to real-world phenomena.

Awards & shining teacher moments

One of the most rewarding parts of teaching is helping students apply science to real-world challenges through research and inquiry. In 2025, students I mentored earned 1st Place at the New York State STEP Statewide Student Research Conference for their research project in the Biological and Life Sciences category. Watching students develop research questions, design experiments, analyze data, and present their findings to a statewide audience was a proud milestone and a testament to the power of hands-on, student-driven learning.

My own education history

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Earth and Space Science and a Master's degree in Education. I am certified to teach grades 5–12 and have specialized training in implementing the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). My educational background has helped me develop engaging, standards-aligned learning experiences that emphasize scientific inquiry, critical thinking, and real-world application of science concepts.

Additional biographical information

My goal as an educator is to make science accessible, engaging, and meaningful for all students. I began creating educational resources to support my own students and to provide clear, engaging materials that help make complex science concepts easier to understand. Through classroom-tested activities, study guides, projects, and instructional videos, I strive to help both teachers and students build confidence in science learning.
