About the store
I first started my teaching journey as a student teacher in Ohio a suburban school where I worked with my supervising teacher to educate students in the subjects of Physics, College Credit Physics, and AP Physics. I then taught in a small rural school for four years in the state of Ohio. In this school I taught 9th grade Physical Science, 11th Grade Chemistry, 11th Grade Honors Chemistry, 12th Grade Physics, and 12th Grade Honors Physics. I have moved to the state of Virginia to continue my teaching careers. I and currently teaching 9th Grade Environmental Science, 9th Grade Fusion PE and Science, 9th Grade LAB School (a fusion course where I teach Environmental Science with a PE/Health teacher, World Geography Teacher, and English teacher), and 11th Grade Chemistry. This school in Virginia is double the size of my Ohio School. I have taught for 2 wonderful years in VA. I am currently in the process of moving to North Carolina and would like to put my resources out here in the TPT world so I can obtain funds for new science lessons in my future school. Any purchases you make goes directly back to MY STUDENTS. Thank you for your support! :P

Teaching style

In a typical day of my classroom I propose a question for my students to think about in the world of the physical side of science. After students make their claim I have students collect data through a hands on lab. Students then add to their white boards their claim, evidence, and justification to their large 20 in by 30 in whiteboards. Then I guide each group through inquiry-based teaching by asking questions that have students use their evidence to discover the scientific idea. After the main idea is discovered we then investigate the errors that occurred in their data in order to determine why the data may look different from another group. I use standard-based grading system with learning target tracker sheets that allow students to track their scores on student friendly learning targets. I also strive to provide authentic learning experiences as I have fused science with English, World Geography, and PE/Health.

My own education history

I began my education journey by graduating high school in a small rural town. Then I went on to pursue higher education by obtaining a Bachelors Degree in Adolescence to Young Adult 7-12 Chemistry and Physics. I completed this degree through Bowling Green State University. During the course of my higher education I worked with NASA on the SMAP Satellite project. I have completed the RESA program in the State of Ohio. Along with completed the requirements for a Virginia Teaching License in the subjects of Chemistry and Physics. I completed Masters' in Curriculum and Instruction with a specialization in Educations Innovation in 2024 through the University of Virginia. As of now I am working on obtaining a North Carolina Teacher License and moving to the state of NC.
