My name is Sam, and I have been a middle school science educator for a decade, having taught 6th, 7th, and 8th grade, as well as IPC and Principles of Health Science. The goal of my store is to provide easy to understand materials that can be used as introductory opportunities, options for pursuing growth, or a "just for fun" activities that still follow state standards. Kingdoms Choice Project Slides
One year, we closed out kingdoms with this assignment where students could choose creative ways to demonstrate their understanding of similarities and differences between kingdoms. Chemistry Christmas Ornaments
This is a fun little activity if your chemistry unit falls close to Christmas, or you have some time to review properties of elements. Students will complete a set of information slides, then design an ornament based on a metal, nonmetal, or metalloid element of their choice. I like to put a butcher paper tree up in the room for them to "hang" their ornaments on after they've completed them on paper. Branches of Healthcare Slides and Student Journal
Need help introducing your students to the branches of healthcare? Use the included slideshow and digital student journal to cover lessons through teacher led workshops or autonomous student learning. This lab guides students through hands on experience using the following tools: Pen Light, Pulse Oximeter, Digital Sphygmomanometer (Blood Pressure Cuff), Reflex Hammer, Stethoscope, Infrared Thermometer. Kinetic Energy Bowling Lab
This lab is so fun for students practicing the calculation for kinetic energy. You WILL need the space to do it, such as a wider hallway, corridor, collaboration area, etc. You will also need a few sets of school-friendly bowling balls with pins (I get mine from our PE teacher, but you can sub these with like items such as empty soda bottles if you take the time to collect them). All you need are the balls, pins, metersticks, timers, and printed worksheet!

Teaching style
My classroom is centered around building relationships with my kiddos. I'm a firm believer of "Maslow's before Bloom's" and do my best to ensure that all of my students know that at least one adult on campus cares about them. I also aim to teach my kiddos that they are not only capable of understanding content, but growing into young adults that can make a difference in the lives of others.
