In the original Goldilocks story, she claims that Papa Bear's bowl was too hot, Mama Bear's bowl was told cold, and Baby Bear's bowl was just right. Through this experiment, the students will learn that bigger things retain heat longer while smaller things lose heat quicker. You can do this as a lab or just demos. You can also use water for the 'porridge' or oatmeal. I personally used oatmeal and we did this all together as a class.
