Science Classroom Procedures and Policies
Teaching and modeling classroom policies and procedures on the first day of school are essential to effective classroom management. This brochure is used on the first day of school and sent home with parents for them to initial with their child, allowing the parent to be more involved with the workings of the classroom.
Students learn early about the importance of lab safety, missing assignments and make up work, classroom rules, bellwork, extra credit and other important classroom policies.

Teaching style
My teaching style includes a great deal of interaction with the students. I am a kinesthetic learner, so I enjoy creating, planning and implementing laboratory activities and investigations. I love for students to dive in and investigate a question they have. I try to incorporate technology when I can and I love to see my students actually EXPERIENCE science. My students utilize color and creativity to express what they are learning in their Interactive Science Notebooks. I change things every year and know that I have so much left to learn!

I live in a rural part of Mississippi with my husband of 18 years, and our two sons ages 15 and 11. I love to read and spend time outdoors with my family. The only thing I love more is teaching!
