Welcome! With over 15 years of experience teaching in K–12 art classrooms—including several years leading AP Art courses—I’ve developed a deep love for guiding young artists at every level. These days, I specialize in elementary art, crafting engaging, developmentally appropriate resources that bring creativity to life. I hold a B.A. in Fine Arts and a Master’s in Special Education, and I strive to make art accessible and meaningful for all learners. From ceramics to watercolor to weaving, my passion for the visual arts shines through in everything I create. Thank you for visiting—I'm so glad you're here!

My teaching philosophy has evolved to embrace the power of individual choice and student-driven exploration. I believe art becomes truly meaningful when learners have space to express their unique perspectives. In recent years, I've incorporated more choice-based lessons and introduced art centers that empower even my youngest artists to take creative ownership. After relocating to a new school, I’m embarking on an exciting journey to build a student choice makerspace—a dynamic, rewarding hub for early finishers and curious minds. My goal is to foster a classroom where students arrive buzzing with anticipation, eager to discover, create, and share. I look forward to documenting this process and sharing it with the amazing teacher community here on TpT.

Over the years, I've been honored with recognition for my dedication to teaching and creativity in the classroom. But my proudest moments often happen quietly: when a student finds their artistic voice, when a colleague seeks out my advice, or when I see the ripple effects of an art experience long after the class ends. As my own children have grown into adulthood, I’ve come to appreciate just how much I’ve learned along the way—and how much I have to share with my fellow educators. Every lesson, resource, and idea I post here is part of that journey.
