I have been a reading and writing teacher for over 14 years. I am a published children's book author and love more than anything to help kids find and foster their love for creative writing. I have found a great deal of my passion for reading and writing comes from the spark that ignites when a student finds success and begins to feel more confident. My goal is to help build writing and reading confidence through activities and conversations that are engaging and authentic.

I have been a reading and writing teacher for over 14 years. I am a published children's book author and love more than anything to help kids find and foster their love for creative writing. My goal is to help build writing and reading confidence through activities and conversations that are engaging and authentic.
Teaching style
I believe that any kid can achieve greatness. I set my expectations high because I know kids will rise to the occasion. And yet I always make sure to meet a child where they are, while encouraging them to push their perceived limits and find success in the classroom.
My own education history
I studied psychology at Sacred Heart University and then completed my Masters of Arts in Education for elementary education grades k-6.
Additional biographical information
I am a mom of three (9yr, 5yr, 2yr), a self published author and practicing illustrator. I'm currently working on a children's book series and I'm hopeful the first of the series will launch before the end of 2024! I love to write, especially descriptive and creative writing and especially enjoy finding ways to help others seek out their creativity too! I love plants and nature and a calming environment to think and work in.
