Experience

I am an experienced Australian educator with a passion for creating practical, engaging, and curriculum-aligned learning resources. My teaching experience spans early childhood, primary, and tertiary education, with particular expertise in Auslan, Digital Technologies, and inclusive education. I have developed resources used across a range of year levels, combining classroom experience with educational research to produce materials that are clear, adaptable, and designed to support both teachers and students in achieving meaningful learning outcomes.

Teaching style

My teaching style is hands-on, creative, and student-centred. I believe students learn best by actively exploring, creating, and solving real-world problems rather than simply memorising information. Whether teaching Auslan, Digital Technologies, or other curriculum areas, I aim to make learning engaging, inclusive, and meaningful. The resources I create are designed to be practical for teachers, easy to implement, and flexible enough to support a range of learning needs, helping students build confidence, curiosity, and a genuine enjoyment of learning.

My own education history

I graduated from Ipswich Grammar School in 1983 before studying teaching at the Brisbane College of Advanced Education from 1984 to 1986. In 1995, I completed a Graduate Diploma in Computers in Education through Monash University, reflecting my long-standing interest in educational technology. I have also completed a Diploma in Multimedia, a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, and a Diploma of Training and Assessment, supporting my work across school, vocational, and higher education settings.

Teaching has always been about helping people discover what they are capable of. Throughout my career, I have worked across primary, secondary, vocational, and higher education, with a particular passion for Auslan, Digital Technologies, and creating engaging learning experiences. Outside the classroom, I enjoy developing educational games and writing resources that help make complex ideas accessible and enjoyable. I believe the best learning happens when students are curious, challenged, and encouraged to create. The resources in this store have been developed from real classroom experience and are designed to save teachers time while providing meaningful learning opportunities for students.
