After seeing my Language Arts students struggle to keep up with the ELA curriculum books provided by the district, I decided that as their SDC teacher, it was up to me to make sure the materials/curriculum needed for them to succeed would have to come from someone who knew their strengths best. Me! I read each IEP, observed each student, and adapted to what students in my environment could keep up with, and went from there. I develop curriculum geared towards students with processing disorders, autism, and specific learning disabilities. My accommodating lessons are working great in my classroom! I want to share with you!
