I combined one of students' favorite holidays, Halloween, with a quick and interesting skill: antonyms! Five spooky poems can be read independently or as a whole. Accompanying each are 5-6 questions, which ask students to code the antonyms in different and colorful ways. What a quick and fun way to see if students are grasping this sometimes difficult vocabulary strategy! Enjoy, and don't forget to rate the Seann Combs store.
Students love idioms! Download this game for a rainy day activity, centers, or for extra practice. This file comes with a playable board, (perfect for laminating on card stock) and a starter pack with ten questions. This game is also playable without the board. ENJOY! Don't forget to rate it.
This is a way to encourage struggling writers to hone their craft. Each pyramid comes with a specified starter word at the top, and an end punctuation. The rest is up to the student! Have them create sentences, writing the specified number of words on each line.
